MD+F Laser Chess Play Game

To player Laser Chess, you need to:

1 - Download appropriate file.
2 - Install the product.
3 - Run the product and connect to www.laserchess.org.

Some editions of Laser Chess require OpenGL to run. Laser Chess is a free download.

1 - Download appropriate file. (if available yet)

Both OpenGL and Standard editions:

   alcglwin.exe (version 1.08) - Windows 95 (w/ OpenGL added), 98, ME, NT 4.0, and 2000 (x86)

Pure Java editions: (Requires Java 1.1.8 runtime or later on your computer)

   alcjava.jar (version 1.09) - All Platforms (Pure Java, run as: java -jar alcjava.jar)

Sharp Linux/Java PDA editions:

   laserchess_1.10_arm.ipk (version 1.10, local-players only) - Sharp Linux/PDA Platforms (Zaurus SL-5000 series)

The downloaded product contains both Laser Chess and Advanced Laser Chess in one executable.

2 - Install the product.

To install the product run the .exe (Windows), unzip the zip file (OS/2 Warp) in your chosen directory, or gzip -d and tar -xvf the file (BeOS, UNIX). For Sharp's PDA, on your computer drag-and-drop the file into your Documents panel and then on the PDA double click, chose install, press OK, and select destination (RAM, CF card, or SD card).

3 - Run the product and connect to www.laserchess.org.

Once you have installed the product, run the executable to play. If you are new to Laser Chess, make sure to read both the program manual as well as the game instruction at one of the two following places:

Instructions (Advanced Laser Chess) <- If you have never played Laser Chess before, you should consider starting with Advanced Laser Chess.
